The total outage time for the noted sites was ~30 minutes, from Tue Aug 19 05:24:08 to 06:05:59 UTC 2014 . The sites have stabilized at this time, and we will be pursuing our investigation later in the day. We will continue to monitor to ensure the healthy status of the sites.
Tue Aug 19 06:05:39 UTC 2014 - The CHEF corporate website and public wiki have experienced an outage for approximately the last 30 minutes. Our Production folks are currently working to discover and resolve the problem.
Mon Aug 18 17:31:45 UTC 2014 At approximately 17:18 UTC our engineering team was made aware of Ruby on Rails (CVE-2014-3514). The team performed an audit of all Chef applications and determined that they are not vulnerable.
Thu Aug 14 15:31:32 UTC 2014 We completed the ticket system cutover. You can continue submitting tickets to email@example.com and https://www.getchef.com/support/tickets/. Use the same login that you would use when logging into Chef Supermarket or Hosted Chef.
Thu Aug 14 14:53:29 UTC 2014 We will be cutting over to the new support ticket system in 5 minutes. Customers will be unable to submit new tickets for a few minutes during the cutover. We will update here when the new ticket system is completely available.

Tue Aug 12 21:04:12 UTC 2014 Scheduled maintenance is underway on the Hosted Chef reporting endpoints. The impact of the maintenance is expected to be very brief. During the maintenance window the reporting endpoints will return 404 HTTP response so reporting data from chef-client runs will not be received by Hosted Chef. Chef-client runs will otherwise be unaffected.
